The Horizon Europe GEMS Project (Gaming Ecosystem as a Multilayered Security Threat) was presented at the Council of the European Union in Brussels as part of Ireland's EU Presidency by Dr Maja Halilovic Pastuovic, Principal Investigator at Trinity College Dublin. She was accompanied by Dr Neven Vukic, also of Trinity College Dublin, and Darren Martin of An Garda SÃochána.
Dr Halilovic Pastuovic presented the main findings of the GEMS Project, sharing insights from the project's research on online gaming spaces and their role in understanding evolving security threats in digital environments. The presentation contributed to ongoing EU-level discussions on preventing and countering violent extremism, highlighting the importance of evidence-informed approaches to emerging online risks.
