Identities in Play: Gaming, Culture Video

We are pleased to share that the GEMS online conference, Identities in Play: Gaming, Culture, and Security in the Digital Age, is now available as a video podcast series.

The event brought together researchers and practitioners to explore gaming as a site of identity formation and performance, and to examine how these dynamics intersect with contemporary security concerns, including radicalisation. The programme featured contributions on topics such as gamer identity, online gaming-adjacent spaces, persuasive games, extremist discourse, gender, loneliness, and meaning-making in digital environments.

For now, the full video playlist is available on our YouTube Channel. An audio-only version will be made available soon.
